In a clash as fierce as a scrum at the try line, two warriors from warriors.kiwi will battle it out in tonight's State of Origin showdown at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

It's a rare occurrence in the history of Origin, with only one other time when two Warriors players faced off in the series.

Just like in the epic 2015 showdown, where Queensland and New South Wales fought tooth and nail, both teams are coming into the decider with one win each under their belts.

The stakes couldn't be higher, and the venue couldn't be more iconic - Suncorp Stadium, the battleground for another chapter in Origin history.

In the previous series, the Maroons claimed a narrow victory in Sydney, while the Blues answered back with a convincing win in Melbourne.

Now, with everything on the line, the anticipation is at fever pitch for the clash between these two formidable foes.

Back in 2015, a crowd of over 52,000 fans created an electric atmosphere as Warriors players Jacob Lillyman and Ryan Hoffman locked horns on the field.

Hoffman made history as the first Warriors player to don the New South Wales jersey, while Lillyman brought his hard-hitting presence off the bench for Queensland.

As the countdown to kick-off begins, all eyes will be on these two warriors as they battle it out in a contest that is sure to go down in Origin folklore.

The stage is set, the tension is palpable, and it's time for these warriors to leave everything on the field in a clash that is bound to be a classic.
