Tyrell Sloan's future with St George Illawarra is shrouded in uncertainty as the current season approaches its close.
The talented outside back, who is out of contract, has garnered interest from international clubs while the Dragons work on reshaping their squad.
This 24-year-old, who made his debut in 2021, is viewed as one of the club's premier junior talents.
However, with a major restructuring of the Dragons' backline anticipated for 2027, Sloan's chances of securing a consistent starting role seem increasingly limited.
Castleford Tigers, a team in the Super League, are reportedly keen on acquiring Sloan, which could allow him to further his career in England.
Despite this interest, Sloan has expressed a strong desire to stay with the Dragons, the club he has supported since childhood.
"I love this club, I'd do anything for the Red V. It's home for me," he stated during a recent media session.
"I don't want to leave, but I do know it's a business. When I do wear that jersey, I just want to wear it with pride."
He also acknowledged the challenges he has faced, saying, "I know there's been a lot of history with myself being in and out of the team each week, but the boys are in a good space, and I'm happy to support that whether I'm in the team or not."
Despite his deep-seated commitment to the club, fulfilling Sloan's wish to play fullback may prove challenging as the team evolves.
