Titans Withdraw Offer for Arthars Amid Stalling

The Gold Coast Titans have decided to retract their contract offer for Jesse Arthars from the Brisbane Broncos after he failed to meet a confirmation deadline.

Reportedly set for Friday, Arthars did not reach a decision in time, leading to the Titans losing patience with his delay.

According to Code Sports, the Titans have rescinded their offer of $600,000 over two years due to his indecision.

This development leaves Arthars with limited options, potentially forcing him to seek opportunities overseas or accept a substantial pay reduction to stay with the Broncos.

As all of Brisbane's outside backs are available, Arthars is likely to lose his position in the starting lineup, pushing him to consider a move to the Super League for a more secure role in the Northern Hemisphere.

Coach Josh Hannay had hoped for Arthars to make the brief journey south, especially with Phillip Sami departing for the Dragons next year.

Despite granting him an additional week for a decision, the club has yet to hear back with a final response.

Code Sports also highlighted interest from Japanese Rugby, suggesting that Arthars might explore his value in the 15-man game.

Arthars shared updates on his contract situation after the Broncos' recent defeat against the Titans on Saturday.
