In an intense showdown between bitter foes, Parramatta managed to hang on for dear life as a controversial call from the Bunker determined the outcome of the NRL grudge match.

The battle at CommBank Stadium was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, but the Eels ultimately emerged victorious over Manly with a hard-fought 28-24 win.

To kick things off, the Sea Eagles came out swinging, with Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans wreaking havoc and causing chaos on the right side of the field.

Trbojevic made his mark by scoring the first try off a perfectly placed Reuben Garrick kick, followed by a simple Jaxson Paulo finish that put Anthony Seibold's squad ahead 14-0 in just 12 minutes.

However, the Eels refused to back down and swiftly turned the tide in their favor with three rapid-fire tries in the span of 16 minutes.

The first came courtesy of a pinpoint kick from Mitchell Moses, which fell right into the waiting arms of center Will Penisini after the Sea Eagles failed to contest the ball.

With the momentum firmly in their favor, Brad Arthur's men dug deep and showcased their resilience to claw their way back into contention, much to the delight of the passionate crowd.

As the dust settled on this epic battle, it was clear that the Eels had proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the rugged landscape of rugby league.
