In a blow to the Melbourne Storm's grand final hopes, their unstoppable force in the form of Nelson Asofa-Solomona is facing a hefty ban after a controversial tackle on Roosters' player Lindsay Collins.
The NRL has come down hard with a four-game suspension looming for the enforcer, whose fate was sealed by a careless high tackle in the heat of the preliminary final battle.
Sent to the sin bin for his actions, Asofa-Solomona now faces a tough decision - take the early guilty plea and miss out on the grand final, or risk it all with a potential five-game ban if he fights the charge and loses.
However, all hope is not lost for the Storm giant, as a slim chance remains to dodge the ban altogether by downgrading the charge to a mere fine.
With the grand final on the horizon and the Storm's title hopes hanging in the balance, the absence of Asofa-Solomona will surely be felt by the team.
But in true Rugby League fashion, the show must go on, and the Storm will need to rally together to overcome this monumental setback.
