Waddell Wings Clipped: Manly Man to Miss Matches

Latest Sea Eagles Judiciary news

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

The Sea Eagles website is abuzz with the latest judiciary news, mate.

Manly's own Corey Waddell, the back-rower with a real knack for hard hits, is set to miss the next two matches after owning up to a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle charge.

It was a tough call for Waddell, who was staring down the barrel of a three-game ban if he chose to take on the charge and lost at the judiciary.

This incident went down in true footy fashion at Leichhardt Oval last Thursday night, when Waddell found himself in hot water for a high shot on Wests Tigers' Solomon Alaimalo.

But he's not the only one in the firing line from that game - Haumole Olakau'atu also faced the music, pleading guilty to a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge and copping a fine.

And not to be outdone, Taniela Paseka has also put his hand up for a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge and accepted his own fine.

It's all part of the rough and tumble world of Rugby League, where hard hits and tough calls are just part of the game.

But don't count the Sea Eagles out just yet - with players like Waddell, Olakau'atu, and Paseka in their lineup, they're sure to keep pushing through the challenges and aiming for that top spot on the ladder.

Keep your eyes on the prize, Sea Eagles fans - this season is far from over.
