Brodie Croft has officially announced his move to the Warrington Wolves, set to begin in the 2027 English Super League season.

Croft, who has had provisions in his contract that allowed for a possible return to the NRL, attracted interest from Australian teams recently, notably the St George Illawarra Dragons.

However, the Dragons opted to sign Luke Metcalf from the New Zealand Warriors, prompting Croft to decide to transition from the Leeds Rhinos at the end of 2026 to join Sam Burgess's squad at Warrington.

Under the terms of his three-year contract, Croft will remain with Warrington through at least 2029. The specifics regarding any NRL return clauses in this new agreement remain uncertain.

His signing comes as George Williams prepares to depart for the NRL, a move widely regarded as already finalized.

Williams is expected to team up with Isaiya Katoa in the club's halves next season.

Warrington's official announcement simply mentioned that Williams would be pursuing an NRL opportunity at the season's conclusion.

Since arriving in England in 2022, after playing for the Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm, Croft has emerged as one of the most reliable players in the league. Head coach Sam Burgess expressed excitement about Croft's addition.

"Brodie is a fantastic signing for the club from 2027 onwards and someone we're excited to bring into the group," Burgess stated in an official club release.
