Wests Tigers welcomed the French U/19s squad with open arms at the Zurich Centre, kicking off their Australian tour in true rugby league fashion.

The team touched down in Sydney and will be making themselves at home in Campbelltown for the next three weeks, surrounded by the territory of the Tigers.

Their journey down under will reach its peak with a showdown against the tough Australian Schoolboys on October 8th, promising to be a clash for the ages.

The visiting party was met with cheers from Wests Tigers' own Lachlan Galvin, along with promising Pathways stars Marc Tannous, Pheonix Godinet, and Riley Oitmann.

Adding to the excitement, Wests Tigers' own NSW Women's Premiership player Elisa Akpa, who also captains the French women's national rugby league team, led the tour group around the impressive NRL facilities.

The veteran forward, at 32 years young, couldn't contain her excitement at the prospect of the French youngsters getting a taste of the elite rugby league system.

In true spirit of the game, the tour promises to be a fantastic experience for the young French squad as they delve into the heart and soul of Australian rugby league.
