Warrington Secures Victory in Toulouse

Warrington rebounded from their Betfred Challenge Cup semi-final disappointment, claiming a 24-16 victory over Toulouse to climb to joint-second in the Super League.

After a heavy defeat to Hull KR the previous Sunday, which denied them a chance at Wembley, Sam Burgess' side delivered an impressive first-half performance in France.

With tries from Toby King, Josh Smith, and Max Wood, the Wolves established an 18-0 lead by halftime. Although Olly Ashall-Bolt scored twice for Toulouse, King added another try, securing a bonus-point win for the visitors.

Burgess reflected in a press conference: "First half was OK, second half a little bit disappointed with the performance, but I thought Toulouse showed some spirit."

"They played with some energy and I think we looked a little bit tired. I can accept it a little bit because of the circumstances, the semi-final and the travel and everything."

"I knew we would get tired at some point so happy with the two points."
