Sea Eagles Suffer Ninth Straight Loss

Match Report: NSW Cup Round 12 vs Raiders

In a disappointing match, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles fell to the Canberra Raiders, conceding 35 unanswered points at Seiffert Oval on Saturday.

This marked Manly's ninth consecutive defeat, with their only victory this season occurring in round one against the Raiders.

The Sea Eagles initially took the lead in the seventh minute when winger Navren Willett soared to catch a crossfield kick from Onitoni Large, setting up centre Semisi Kioa for the opening try, making it 4-0.

Second-rower Aaron Schoupp quickly extended the lead to 10-0, following a well-timed pass from full-back Tex Hoy.

Kioa then found space to score again in the 16th minute, increasing their advantage to 16-0.

However, the Raiders responded just five minutes later, with Regan Carr capitalizing on a loose ball to make it 16-4.

Canberra continued to fight back, with Mark Tuialii scoring from a short drop-out to narrow the gap to 16-10.

Just before halftime, Kain Anderson leveled the score at 16-all with another try from a short drop-out.
