FIVE Potential Coaching Roles for Ivan Cleary in 2028

Following the 2027 NRL season, Penrith Panthers coach Ivan Cleary plans to step down from his head coach position as he winds down his illustrious coaching career.

Recently, the club announced that Peter Wallace will succeed Cleary as head coach in 2028, marking a strategic succession plan after an impressive four consecutive premierships from 2021 to 2024.

Although Cleary will transition into a cultural and leadership role off the field post-tenure, he also hinted at potential future opportunities during the press conference.

Cleary expressed, "I would be open to the idea of coaching a representative side if they deemed me fit for the role," showcasing his willingness to explore new challenges.
