Nicho Hynes, who has had two exceptional seasons with the Sharks, has been selected to make his debut for the Australian test team.
This opportunity comes after his recent representation of Australia in the Prime Ministers XIII match in Port Moresby.
Hynes will face off against his Sharks teammates Ronaldo Mulitalo and Briton Nikora when the Kangaroos take on the Kiwis in week three of the Pacific Championships in Melbourne on Saturday night.
In addition to Hynes, three members of the Sharks NRLW squad, Emma Tonegato, Brooke Anderson, and Annessa Biddle, will also be competing against the Kiwi Ferns in a match preceding the men's clash.
The Kiwi contingent, including Mulitalo, Nikora, and Biddle, have been in great form lately, with all three players scoring tries during week two of the Pacific Championships.
The women's contest will kick off at 6:00pm, followed by the men's match at 8:00pm.
It promises to be an exciting evening of rugby league action in Melbourne.
