The Roosters' coach, Trent Robinson, has responded to the hard-hitting tackle by Nelson Asofa-Solomona that forced Lindsay Collins out of the game early on Friday night.
Collins was knocked out with a brutal concussion in the very first play of the match, leaving a significant gap in the Roosters' lineup.
Robinson, known for his steely demeanor and strategic approach, chose his words carefully when discussing the incident.
Despite reassuring fans that Collins was doing okay, he acknowledged the heartbreaking loss for the team so early in the game.
"It was a tough blow to swallow, mate," Robinson stated with a hint of frustration in his voice.
"We knew coming into this match that it was going to be a physical battle; the sparks were already flying from last week.
Losing a key player like Collins, who we rely on heavily, was a bitter pill to swallow."
The Roosters' season came to a disappointing end with a 48-18 loss to the Storm, marking a sad farewell for the team.
Despite the setback, Robinson remains resilient and focused on the future, knowing that every setback is just another challenge to overcome in the world of Rugby League.
