The Dragons have suffered a tough defeat at the hands of the Sharks in a local derby showdown, going down 38-10 in a match filled with plenty of drama and excitement.

The showdown at WIN Stadium was a highly anticipated clash, but it was the Sharks who walked away with the Monty Porter Trophy in hand.

Despite a valiant effort from the Red V defense, the Sharks managed to break through and take control of the game.

Mathew Feagai showed great determination, making a break down the field only to be taken out by a high tackle from Jesse Ramien, who was subsequently sent to the sin bin.

Ben Hunt stepped up for the Dragons, successfully challenging a ruling to regain possession for his team.

This led to a miraculous try, with Zac Lomax showcasing his skills by knocking a wayward kick backwards before setting up Max Feagai for a brilliant grubber that led to a try for Jack Bird.

While the Dragons fought hard, the Sharks proved to be too strong on the day.

But with plenty of passion and determination, the Red V will no doubt bounce back stronger in their next outing.

It's all part of the game - you win some, you lose some, but the important thing is to keep pushing forward and giving it your all on the field.
