Jai Field has put an end to speculation regarding a possible return to the NRL, affirming that he has no intention of leaving the Wigan Warriors, despite ongoing talk about his future.
The dynamic fullback has established himself as one of the leading players in the Super League since relocating to England in 2021. However, with his contract set to conclude at the end of the 2027 season, rumors emerged linking him to a return to Australia.
Among the teams reportedly interested is the new Perth Bears franchise, but these allegations were recently refuted by Wigan's coach, Matt Peet.
Field has supported his coach's stance, expressing satisfaction with his current situation and a commitment to the Warriors' ambitious plans.
"I'm very content here at the minute, and I can't really see myself going anywhere," he stated in an interview with Love Rugby League.
"We're building something special here at the club, with this group in particular as well.
"I don't think you just want to throw all of that away.
"The deadline doesn't really matter to me.
"I'm here until the end of next season anyway (with my current contract), but I think it's all pretty sweet."
