The Parramatta Eels have announced that Dylan Walker will be rested for this weekend's match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

This weekend, however, Walker will take a break, allowing Saxon Pryke to join the bench in his stead.
Walker is anticipated to participate in the remaining weeks of the season, which will also serve as his last games in the NRL before transitioning to a three-year contract in England.
The choice to rest him may come as a surprise, especially considering the Eels had a bye just two weeks ago and managed a narrow victory against the Wests Tigers since then.
The recent match against the Tigers was preceded by a ten-day break, and now, as they face the Rabbitohs, they have a shorter six-day turnaround.
This decision could indicate that Coach Ryles aims to give more playing time to those remaining with the team for next season, especially since the club is no longer at risk of finishing last following their victory over the Tigers.
Furthermore, the Eels have revealed that halfback Jonah Pezet's tough season is ongoing, with another two-week absence anticipated due to a shoulder issue sustained while playing in the NSW Cup.
Pezet has faced numerous setbacks this season, grappling with injuries and suspensions.
Initially brought in on a one-year contract between the Melbourne Storm and Brisbane Broncos to partner with Mitchell Moses in the halves, he has found it challenging to remain on the field, let alone make an impact while playing.
