The Canberra Raiders are set to seek redemption in this Saturday's elimination final against the Cronulla Sharks at a packed GIO Stadium.
Canberra was on the verge of securing a spot in the preliminary finals until a late penalty evened the score, leading to extra time. Jamal Fogarty seemed to clinch the victory with a try, only for it to be disallowed due to a knock-on, allowing the Broncos to snatch the win with a 40-metre field goal.
Fortunately, finishing in the top spot provides the Green Machine with another opportunity. They will fight to keep their season alive in front of their home crowd against the Sharks.
Cronulla enters the match after a solid 20-10 victory over the Roosters and is aiming for their first grand final appearance since 2016.
In their previous encounter, the Raiders overcame the Sharks 24-20 at GIO Stadium in round five this season.
The two teams' dummy halves have been instrumental in their respective successes this season and will be crucial in determining which side controls the game's tempo.
