Tigers' Issues Deepen Amid Doueihi's Controversial Departure

‘There’s the door’: Blunt verdict on Tigers drama... and the one phone call Benji should make

The ongoing situation with Adam Doueihi has highlighted the serious cultural issues plaguing the Tigers, sparking a harsh assessment of the star halfback's position within the team.

Doueihi dramatically pulled out of last Saturday's match against the Raiders due to a reported clash with coach Benji Marshall.

After a successful outcome at the judiciary earlier that week, Doueihi believed he would return to the Tigers as the halfback for the matchup against the Raiders.

However, when Marshall informed him that he would need to play in the forwards to allow young talent Javon Andrews to debut in the halves alongside Jarome Luai, Doueihi chose to withdraw from the game completely.

The Tigers consequently suffered a heavy defeat, losing 56-10, prompting journalist Brent Read to criticize Doueihi's attitude during a segment on NRL 360.

"I've read stories for days about how Adam Doueihi was trying to shine the light on this football club and help this football club. He has smashed this football club with his behaviour. Smashed it," Read stated.
