The Dragons were unable to maintain their winning streak as they were defeated by the Dolphins with a score of 38-0 at Redcliffe's Kayo Stadium on Sunday night.
The Dolphins got on the scoreboard early on, with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow scoring a try just five minutes into the game after a great play initiated by winger Jack Bostock.
There were some setbacks for the Dragons during the match, with Nikorima leaving the field for a Head Injury Assessment which he unfortunately failed.
Marshall-King also had to briefly leave the game after a kick from Hunt hit him in the head, but he was able to return in the second half.
Tyrell Sloan made an impact in the game, making a crucial play just before the half-hour mark by breaking through the defense and forcing a goal-line dropout with a clever chip-and-chase move.
Despite some efforts from the Dragons, they were denied their first try by the video officials after a knock-on was ruled in the grounding attempt off a Hunt grubber.
The team was again frustrated by the video officials after Kyle Flanagan was judged to have lost the ball in an aerial contest with Tabuai-Fidow.
Overall, it was a tough match for the Dragons, but they will look to bounce back and get back to winning ways in their next fixture.
