Raiders Star Faces Injury Before Decider

Canberra Raiders standout Ethan Strange is now facing an injury concern while training with the NSW team in Kingscliff, just days before the crucial State of Origin decider.

According to recent reports from Nine, Strange sustained a rolled ankle during a training session at CBUS Super Stadium on Thursday.

In his debut match for the Blues, Strange impressed by scoring a try, achieving three tackle busts, and covering over 100 metres.

In the past 18 months, he has risen to prominence as one of the game's top talents, yet he found himself on the bench for the second Origin match, with Mitchell Moses taking his place.

While Moses entered the camp with his own injury issue, coach Laurie Daley has decided to stick with the Parramatta halfback for the series finale.

The NSW team is hopeful on Strange's recovery, though they have various alternatives, including stars like Matt Burton or Jarome Luai, who could step in for his spot.

This series has been marked by an unfortunate trend of injuries for the Blues, with past issues impacting both Moses and Casey McLean in their previous outings.

Even though he is racing against time to be fit, Strange has been expected to play primarily from the interchange bench in the highly anticipated decider.
