The Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg teams are set to face off against the Roosters at Raiders Belconnen in Round 4.

Both teams are eager to secure their first win of the season after falling short by just two points in their previous matches.

The Roosters have also had mixed results, with a win against the Bears followed by losses to the Panthers and Warriors.

The Raiders are focused on executing their game plan and closing out the match against the Roosters to secure a much-needed win.

With back-to-back home games coming up, Canberra is looking to capitalize on the opportunity to gather momentum and climb up the ladder.

Head Coach of the NSW Cup team, Peter Marrapodi, highlighted the importance of finishing strong in games.

"Learning how to close out games, its an important characteristic in a team," Marrapodi said.

"I think the biggest thing at the moment is we're getting to 77, 78 minutes and we're in a tussle, and it's about us believing that, I've been in charge of this group for [over] 18 months they know the game plans…Believing in it, believing in what we're doing and making sure we drive that to the end has been a key focus."

The Raiders Jersey Flegg side will also be looking to bounce back from a tough start to the season.

Coach Adam McDonald emphasized the need for improvement in their defensive efforts.

"the discipline in defense let us down last week, so we know we need to be better in that area against the Roosters," McDonald stated.

Both teams will no doubt be aiming to put in strong performances and come away with victories in Round 4.

The Roosters will provide tough opposition, but the Raiders are determined to secure their first wins of the season and build some momentum moving forward.
