In an utterly insane semi-final madness, the NRL witnessed a Hail Mary moment that left them shocked.

The Melbourne Storm, in an unthinkable play, managed to secure an 18-13 victory over the Sydney Roosters.

Under the guidance of coach Craig Bellamy, the Storm will now face the two-time defending premier Penrith Panthers in the preliminary final.

The dramatic finish unfolded with just two minutes remaining in the match.

Despite the Roosters taking the lead 13-12 with nine minutes left on the clock, the Storm struggled to find an equalizing field goal.

However, in a stunning turn of events, Cameron Munster executed a cross-field kick to Will Warbrick, a former Olympic Rugby Sevens silver medallist.

Warbrick, displaying incredible athleticism, caught the ball in mid-air before powering over the try line to secure victory for the Storm.
