Dragons Claim First Home Win in 11 Months

Dragons get past Wests Tigers at Jubilee

The Dragons celebrated a long-awaited home victory with a 24-10 win over the Wests Tigers at Jubilee Stadium.

Two weeks after a narrow loss to the Newcastle Knights, Valentine Holmes shone with two tries and four goals, securing vital points for his team.

A potential try from Tyrell Sloan was overturned by video review, but he quickly rebounded, converting a kick from Kyle Flanagan into a try, leveling the game at 4-4.

Shortly after, Holmes also had a try dismissed due to an obstruction by teammate Hamish Stewart.

The Dragons faced a setback when Sloan left the field with a hamstring injury, prompting Holmes to switch to the wing and Damien Cook to step into the center.

A fortunate penalty goal just before half-time granted the Dragons a slight lead at 6-4.

Early in the second half, Doueihi scored an impressive try for the Tigers, regaining the lead 10-6.

With just ten minutes remaining, Holmes leveled the score again, finishing a disjointed yet effective move on the left side.
