Raiders score big win over Dragons to kick off 2026 NRLW season

The Canberra Raiders opened their 2026 NRLW season with a 20-4 victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons at Kogarah.

Early pressure followed a knock-on from Zahara Temara, but Teagan Berry crossed in the first minute from a Ruby-Jean Kennard-Ellis dummy-half pass.

Temara later charged down a kick and briefly battled for possession before being forced out by the Dragons' defence.

The Raiders built momentum through repeated dummy-half plays from Temara as they sought their next points.

Sheridan Gallagher combined with debutant Bobbi Law to create a corner try for Law's first score in green.

A missed conversion left the teams level at 4-all.

Just before half-time Chante Temara fed Grace Kemp, who powered through defenders to score under the posts.

Canberra controlled the second half to finish 20-4 and claim a confident season-opening win.
