Sea Eagles Fall to Eels 23-14 in NRL Clash

Match Report: NRL Round 18 vs Eels

In Round 18 of the NRL Telstra Premiership, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles faced a 23-14 defeat against the Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium.

Clayton Faulalo, playing as left centre, was evaluated for a head injury just four minutes in but returned later, only to exit again with a hamstring issue.

The first points emerged from a breakthrough by Ben Trbojevic on the left, leading to a penalty as the Eels were deemed offside.

Jamal Fogarty converted, putting Manly ahead 2-0 seven minutes in.

A high tackle on Taniela Paseka gifted the Eels a penalty, bringing them close to scoring in the 12th minute, but they failed to secure the cross-field kick.

Manly's Joey Walsh forced a repeat set with a kick, but Taniela Paseka's knock-on soon let the Eels off the hook.

An error at the play-the-ball by Jake Trbojevic offered the Eels another opportunity in good field position, but Manly's defense held strong.

A penalty against Ben Trbojevic for a ruck infringement helped the Eels, who converted their possession into points shortly after.
