The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have secured a two-year deal with Australian Women's Rugby Union star Ashley Marsters, running until the end of the 2027 NRLW season.
Marsters holds the record as the most capped Wallaroos player, with 45 Test matches since her debut in 2014.
Originally from Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, she has also competed in the Super Rugby Women's league with the Melbourne Rebels and Western Force.
Recognized as a premier hooker in Women's International Rugby, Marsters will transition to play as a middle forward in rugby league.
Her rugby league journey will kick off on Monday when the Cowboys NRLW team returns for the 2026 pre-season.
Fans of the Cowboys may have seen Marsters featured on the recent Foxtel show Rivals: Sport vs. Sport, where she was part of the champion Team Rugby Union alongside athletes like Desiree Miller, Joseph Aukuso Sua'ali'i, and Harry Wilson.
