The Warriors standout received a Grade 3 Dangerous Contact charge due to an incident involving Reece Walsh during the 18th minute of the match.
Unfortunately, Walsh, a star for the Brisbane Broncos, had to exit the game and was unable to return. He suffered a high ankle sprain and was observed on the sidelines in a moon boot, which will prematurely conclude his season.
If Nicoll-Klokstad accepts a two-week suspension, it would mean he would miss crucial fixtures against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Newcastle Knights, making his return in the final game against the Manly Sea Eagles before the finals.
Facing a possible two-match ban with an early guilty plea, Nicoll-Klokstad's suspension could escalate to three matches if he disputes the charge and is unsuccessful.
Additionally, Cowboys forward Heilum Luki was cited for a Grade 1 High Tackle charge due to a reckless hit on Luca Moretti in the 21st minute.
Luki was noted on the report and spent 10 minutes in the sin bin during the match.
He could face a $3,000 fine for an early guilty plea or risk two matches on the sidelines if he chooses to contest, given it is his third or subsequent offence.
Tanner Stowers-Smith was also reported for a Grade 1 careless high tackle on Xavier Willison, occurring in the 49th minute, while Jacob Laban faced a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge against Willison in the 75th minute.
