The Sharks website, sharks.com.au, has reported that the Newtown Jets are facing a challenging situation in the KOE NSW Cup season.
With only two games left, the Jets have slipped to eighth place after their loss to the Canberra Raiders.
The team will now need to win their remaining matches in order to have a chance at qualifying for the upcoming Finals.
Despite being inexperienced and undermanned, the Jets put up a strong fight against the Raiders.
However, they now find themselves outside the top five and in need of victories to climb back into contention.
Their first task will be to secure a win against the Magpies in a game that will take place at Lidcombe Oval, the historic home ground of the Western Suburbs club.
Although the Jets will be led by hooker Jayden Berrell, they will be without the services of talented half/fullback Daniel Atkinson, who suffered a concussion in the match against the Raiders.
The match details and the Newtown team lineup can be found below.
