The Tweed Seagulls soared to victory in the Mal Meninga Cup grand final, showing why they were the team to beat in season 2024.

With a performance reminiscent of champions of old, the Seagulls made light work of their Gold Coast rivals, the Burleigh Bears, with a commanding 36-12 win at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe.

It was a season to remember for the Seagulls, who not only claimed the minor premiership but also achieved the rare feat of finishing undefeated, with only one draw blemishing their perfect record.

Coach Sam Meskell praised his team for handling the pressure of being favorites and delivering when it mattered most on game day.

The Seagulls took control of the match with a change in momentum, scoring three quick tries before halftime to establish a commanding 24-6 lead.

Meskell credited his team's solid defense in the first half as the key to their success on the day.

The victory was a fitting end to a dominant season for the Seagulls, who proved themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of Rugby League.

With their undefeated run and impressive performance in the grand final, the Tweed Seagulls have etched their names in the annals of history as true champions of the game.
