York Secures Victory Against Toulouse 38-14

York Knights 38-14 Toulouse

York secured a convincing 38-14 victory over Toulouse, thanks in part to Scott Galeano's impressive hat-trick at the LNER Community Stadium.

The Knights had faced a tough stretch, losing five consecutive matches, but found their footing early on when Paul Vaughan, celebrating his 35th birthday, charged over for the opening try.

A second try was ruled out for Toulouse due to grounding issues, but Vaughan soon doubled his tally with York leading 12-0 after 20 minutes, thanks to Cody Hunter's conversion.

Just before halftime, Thomas Lacans scored for Toulouse, narrowing the gap, but Galeano continued his scoring streak, ensuring York reached the break with an 18-6 advantage.

In the second half, Jesse Dee's clever play set up Galeano for an easy try, extending York's lead.

A further try from Kieran Buchanan solidified York's dominance, followed by a Hunter penalty, pushing the score to 32-6.
