Tigers Lock In Key Players Until 2030

The Wests Tigers have made a significant move by securing the long-term commitments of Taylan and Terrell May.

This announcement comes after earlier speculations linked them to a potential transfer to the PNG Chiefs, particularly following Jarome Luai's recent signing for their upcoming NRL entry in 2028.

However, those rumors have been put to rest with both players signing three-year extensions that will keep them with the Tigers until at least the conclusion of 2030.

With negotiations halted until November 1 of this year, the decision also suggests that the possibility of a partnership with Tyrone May, currently in the English Super League, is unlikely.

Terrell joined the Tigers prior to the 2025 season, quickly establishing himself as one of the league's top props. In contrast, Taylan made his return to the sport with the Tigers mid-2025 and similarly excelled during the latter part of that season.

Reflecting on his re-signing, Terrell, who faced a contentious exclusion from Origin selection last year, expressed his happiness about the future.

"We love it here and to have the future secured at the Tigers until 2030 is something special," he stated.

"Family is so important to us and it's something that drew me to the Club in the first place. I can't speak highly enough of Benji and the staff for the support they give us to be ourselves on and off the field."

"I'm really enjoying my footy this year and we're getting results thanks to the way we've trained over pre-season. The focus is just staying locked in and getting better every single day for the boys."
