NRL legend Matthew Johns, known for his hard-hitting plays on the field and even harder-hitting commentary off of it, has finally opened up about the end of his feud with his famous brother Andrew Johns, aka "Joey." The tension between the two brothers, once as fierce as a scrum in the final minutes of a Grand Final, had been brewing for some time, reaching a breaking point after a very public argument on live radio.

But like a seasoned halfback leading his team to victory with a perfectly executed play, Matthew decided to bury the hatchet and mend the relationship.

It was his son Jack who gave him the nudge he needed, urging him to make amends and bringing the two brothers back together.

Inspiration struck for Matthew, not on the rugby league field, but at the Paris Olympics where he is currently hosting the Matty & The Missile podcast with former swimmer James Magnussen.

Watching the Fox sisters, Jess and Noemie, celebrate their golden moment on the podium, embracing in a show of pure sisterly love, made Matthew re-evaluate his own family bonds.

In a candid moment on the podcast, Matthew revealed that seeing the Fox sisters' emotional embrace after Noemie's gold medal win prompted him to make amends with his brother.

Like a veteran fullback reading the play and shifting the momentum of the game, he knew it was time to reconcile and move forward.

And just like that, the feud that had gripped the rugby league world was finally put to rest.

As the Johns brothers come together once again, it's a reminder that in the game of family, sometimes the best plays are the ones made off the field.

And for Matthew and Andrew, this new chapter in their relationship is a win that even the toughest critics can't deny.
