The Canberra Raiders SG Ball team will be facing the Bulldogs in a must-win elimination final after penalties cost them a spot in the grand final.
Despite dominating the first half, they were unable to secure a win in their first finals match.
Coach Rourke O'Sullivan praised the team's effort throughout the season but acknowledged they need to capitalize on opportunities in order to secure a preliminary final position.
He stated, "We had many opportunities throughout the game to secure the win and didn't quite finish the job." The Raiders finished the regular season in second place, giving them another chance to advance in the competition.
O'Sullivan emphasized the importance of taking advantage of their next opportunity, saying, "We need to learn from the mistakes and make sure we execute better this weekend." The team will need to put in a strong performance in order to keep their season alive and continue their pursuit of reaching the grand final.
