Hull FC claimed a deserved win at struggling Castleford in the Super League, continuing their strong start to the season.
The away side took the lead when Herman Ese'ese barged over the line, with Rowan Milnes leveling the scores shortly after.
Aidan Sezer and Tom Briscoe extended Hull FC's lead to 18-6 at halftime.
Innes Senior of the Tigers was sin-binned for a high tackle on Cade Cust, who was forced to leave the game due to the incident.
Lewis Martin took advantage of the numerical advantage to score for Hull FC.
Sezer then kicked a penalty to further extend their lead.
Despite a fine individual score from Tex Hoy and a try from Josh Simm for Castleford, Hull FC held on to secure the victory.
The win was important for Hull FC as they look to maintain their position near the top of the Super League standings.
Speaking after the match, Hull FC head coach Brett Hodgson credited his team's performance, saying, "I thought it was a great response to last week's game.
I thought defensively we were very good and the pressure throughout the game put us in the position to attack when we wanted to."
Hodgson also praised the impact of Sezer, who was a key player in the victory, saying, "I thought Aidan was fantastic.
He controlled the game really well for us, especially towards the end of the first half which was pleasing."
On the other hand, Castleford head coach Lee Radford expressed his disappointment with his team's performance, especially their discipline, saying, "the game management was poor.
We have to understand game management in terms of when and where to give penalties." Despite the loss, Radford remains optimistic about Castleford's ability to bounce back, saying, "We'll practice, we'll get better and we'll go again."
