The Melbourne Storm have announced the induction of three new life members, honoring Tui Kamikamica, Jahrome Hughes, and Doctor Jason Chan.
Hughes and Kamikamica continue to represent the Storm on the field today, while Chan has been a pivotal figure as the club's chief medical officer since 2014.
Throughout Chan's tenure, the Storm have excelled, often being regarded as one of the top teams in the league, particularly noted for their minimal player injury durations each season.
Under Chan's guidance, the Storm have reached the finals in every season leading up to 2026, making him the longest-serving chief medical officer in the NRL.
Chan's contributions were particularly significant during the COVID lockdowns, when the team faced extended periods in isolation while based in Queensland.
As for Hughes and Kamikamica, their legacies at the club are well-established and widely recognized.
Hughes, who has been with the Storm since 2017, is poised to retire as one of the premier halfbacks of his era.
Having secured the prestigious Dally M Medal in 2024, he has made 184 appearances for the Storm and is contracted until at least the end of 2030, setting the stage for surpassing 250 games.
In addition to his club achievements, Hughes has proudly represented New Zealand in ten Tests during his time with the Storm.
