Chanel Harris-Tavita is set to play halfback, with Luke Hanson stepping in at standoff for the NZ Warriors' round 25 NRL match against South Sydney this Saturday at Accor Stadium.
After securing another contract extension, Harris-Tavita will don the #7 jersey, taking the halfback role following Luke Metcalf's hamstring injury just 20 minutes into the game against the Broncos.
Metcalf will miss the remainder of the regular season, including crucial games against the Rabbitohs, Knights, and Sea Eagles, as he prepares for the finals.
This makes Harris-Tavita the fourth starting halfback for the Warriors this season, following injuries to Tanah Boyd, Te Maire Martin, and Metcalf.
Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, who filled in during the Warriors' recent victory over the Broncos, is unavailable this week due to a two-match suspension for dangerous contact.
Also on the extended bench are halfback Jett Cleary, winger Luke Laulilii, and hooker Makaia Tafua.
The Warriors enter this match tied on 36 points with Penrith, just behind them on points differential.
South Sydney, who secured a win over the Bulldogs, currently occupies the seventh spot on the ladder.
