Bayley Sironen, a former NRL forward who has played for three different teams, is currently searching for a new club, having caught the interest of another organization.
At present, he is with the Catalans Dragons in the Super League, which has announced that Sironen will not receive a contract extension and will leave at the end of the 2025 season, along with several other teammates.
Sironen last played in the NRL in 2023 before moving abroad to join the Dragons. Over the past two seasons, he has participated in more than 40 matches, scoring five tries.
While his next move remains uncertain, the brother of former NRL player Curtis Sironen might choose to return to Australia or continue his career overseas.
Nonetheless, All Out Rugby League reports that he is keen to stay in the Super League and aims to join St Helens RLFC, where he could potentially play alongside his brother.
At 28 years old, Sironen's international journey began after he played for the Wests Tigers, South Sydney Rabbitohs, and New Zealand Warriors, accumulating 81 appearances and scoring six tries throughout seven years (2017-2023).
His exit from the Dragons aligns with the incoming players Solomona Faataape, Toby Sexton, and Zac Lipowicz next season, prompting the need to make roster adjustments to accommodate international quota players.
