Bulldogs' Inconsistent Performance Raises Questions

‘Turn up with that c**p’: Blunt warning to Bulldogs as Ciraldo explains surprise call

Recently, the Bulldogs appeared to be in top form.

This week, however, has told a different story.

Coach Cameron Ciraldo humorously remarked that he might need a "psychology degree" to understand how his team transitioned from impressing the previously undefeated Panthers to allowing 38 points against a weakened Parramatta squad.

Ciraldo has a theory about this shift but is hopeful it isn't the case.

"I'd like to think not but that's certainly what it looked like," he stated when asked about the potential for complacency contributing to their 38-20 defeat at the hands of the Eels on Sunday.

"I thought we started well, we started with good energy and intent.

But any sort of error and penalty we had, we just showed no resilience to defend it.

The scoreboard ticked over.

"I thought Parra were really good, exactly what we expected them to be.

So deserved the win but we were way off the best."
