The Manly Sea Eagles have suffered a significant setback as Tom Trbojevic faces a six to eight-week absence due to another hamstring injury incurred during Thursday night's victory over the Cowboys.
This incident marks Trbojevic's eighth hamstring injury over the past eight seasons, with an equal split of four injuries affecting each leg, further complicating his career with persistent soft-tissue challenges.
The injury was sustained early in the match, as Trbojevic exited the field in the 12th minute, visibly limping and grabbing his left hamstring while trying to penetrate the Cowboys' defensive line.
This unfortunate event comes after what appeared to be a remarkable start to the season for Trbojevic, who had managed to score in every game prior to Thursday's encounter.
In light of this situation, Coach Kieran Foran has opted to place Tolu Koula in the fullback position, rather than the typical substitute, Lehi Hopoate.
Koula, currently playing in the centres, is acknowledged as a rising talent in the fullback role, showcasing his potential to become an elite player.
