Young fullback Chevy Stewart has quickly established himself as a rising star for the Canberra Raiders.
With an impressive 2023 season under his belt, Stewart has caught the attention of rugby league enthusiasts.
Joining the Raiders from the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at the beginning of the season, the 18-year-old showcased his skills in the UNE SG Ball Cup before earning a spot in the Jersey Flegg Cup.
However, it was his debut in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup that truly turned heads, as Stewart ran an impressive 138 metres against the Newcastle Knights.
His exceptional performances led to a selection for the CABE NSW Under 19s State of Origin team, where he proved his worth by accumulating 59 run metres and 10 tackle-breaks in a convincing victory over Queensland.
Stewart's progression didn't end there, as he continued to excel in the NSW Cup, scoring seven tries in his last 10 matches while consistently averaging 117 running metres.
His contributions extended beyond scoring, as he also took on the responsibility of goal-kicking.
Stewart's development and electrifying performances have undoubtedly cemented his position as one of the top prospects to watch in the upcoming season.
