Seven Potential Successors to Billy Slater

The Queensland Maroons have begun the search for a new coach after Billy Slater announced his departure before the 2027 series.

This change had been anticipated for a while, yet it was largely believed Slater would continue for at least another series, even after facing his second home decider loss in three years.

Despite this setback, the QRL made it clear that they wished for Slater to remain at the helm.

However, with his decision final, the QRL, much like their New South Wales counterparts, is now in need of new leadership for 2027.
