Ciraldo's Brutal Reality Check for Bulldogs After Missed Chance
Cameron Ciraldo found himself searching for explanations as the Bulldogs squandered a significant chance against the Rabbitohs, missing an opportunity to inch closer to the top eight. He labeled his team as "slow learners."
This match was crucial for both teams aiming for finals, but the Bulldogs faltered in critical moments, leading to a 22-6 defeat by South Sydney.
"I thought we started great," Ciraldo shared with reporters after the match.
"We came here with a lot of intent, I thought we started really well, created some opportunities (and) to Souths' credit they came up with some big try stops there, which they have been (doing) all year.
"We weren't good enough to do it at the other end."
Despite trailing 10-0 at halftime, the game felt closer than the score indicated, as the Bulldogs crossed the line two times but were thwarted by a determined South Sydney defense.
