The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have been handed an extra boost for the upcoming NRL season thanks to 4 Pines Brewing, who have vowed to plant 100 trees, shrubs or grasses for every try the team scores.
It's a partnership that is sure to get the players fired up and ready to hit the ground running.
When the Sea Eagles caught wind of 4 Pines' tree planting initiative with Landcare Australia last year, they knew they wanted to get involved.
And now, they're back at it again, determined to make an impact both on and off the field.
With a total of 93 tries scored last season, 4 Pines promised to plant 9,300 trees as a result.
The team is hoping to surpass that number this year and make an even bigger difference.
The trees will be planted in Inverell, a town in Northern New South Wales, as long as the weather cooperates.
It's a win-win situation for everyone involved, with the Sea Eagles eager to light up the scoreboard and contribute to a worthwhile cause.
As they say in the world of Rugby League, teamwork makes the dream work, and the Sea Eagles are ready to tackle this challenge head on.
