The official website of the Canberra Raiders, raiders.com.au, has reported that Jack Wighton, a player for the team, has been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee in relation to their recent victory against the Wests Tigers.

The charge against Wighton is for contrary conduct, specifically stemming from an incident that occurred during the 80th minute of the game.

If Wighton decides to take the early guilty plea, he will be subjected to a $3,000 fine.

However, should he choose to contest the charge and subsequently lose, he will be suspended for two matches.

These disciplinary measures are in place to ensure fair play and uphold the integrity of the sport.

The Canberra Raiders and Wighton will likely weigh their options before making a decision on how to proceed with this charge.
