Dominating the first half in both territory and possession, the Rabbitohs surged to an 18-0 lead, ultimately winning 36-12 against the struggling Sharks.
This defeat marks the Sharks' fifth this season, pushing them out of the top eight as they prepare for a vital match against the Bulldogs next week.
Souths opened the scoring with a penalty goal in the sixth minute and maintained pressure on the Sharks' defense, leading to Alex Johnston's first try.
Shortly after, Euan Aitken scored in the opposite corner, and successful conversions pushed Souths ahead 14-0.
A defensive misstep in the 34th minute allowed Johnston to score again, leaving the Rabbitohs up by three converted tries at halftime.
Unfortunately for the Sharks, the second half continued in a similar fashion, with Johnston scoring his third try shortly after the break.
With Latrell Siegwalt kicking his fourth goal, the Rabbitohs extended their lead to 24-0 just six minutes into the second half.
