Tyrell Sloan, a winger for St George Illawarra Dragons, has been in the news recently due to his dissatisfaction with the developments concerning his future club, Castleford Tigers, and coach Ryan Carr.

As Carr faces the prospect of being dismissed from his role at the Super League team, Sloan has consistently expressed to the media that Carr played a significant role in his decision to make the move, speaking most recently to the Sydney Morning Herald.

"It definitely puts a big dent in things for me, I'll be honest," Sloan stated to the outlet.

"Carry was a big reason why I signed over there.

"Obviously we had a relationship here at the Dragons and I don't really know the situation with him. We've been left in the dark. I'm really excited to go over there if Carry is there, but I just don't know if that's going to be the case there. Hopefully I'll find out soon what's going on and they make a decision."

Sloan, aged 24, is not alone in his move, as veteran Damien Cook and Matthew Feagai will also be heading to the English club next year.

All three players have experienced a resurgence in form toward the end of the season, particularly Sloan, who has scored eight tries in the last eight matches.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Carr's position, the Dragons have made it clear they will not offer new contracts to the three players leaving, choosing instead to pursue a new direction with their aggressive recruitment efforts this season.
