The Gold Coast Titans have allowed utility back AJ Brimson to look into opportunities outside the club, even though he is contracted until the end of 2030.
Brimson, one of the Titans' most enduring players, has played a crucial role in the team's recent achievements.
In recent seasons, the fullback position has been difficult for him to secure, mainly due to the emergence of Jayden Campbell and now Keano Kini.
Initially, Brimson played in the halves, where he faced challenges, and has also featured in the centres.
This year, he has played three matches at five-eighth, one as halfback, and most games at centre, with no appearances as a fullback.
Brimson has expressed that his preferred position is fullback, but he has indicated he will fill any role to remain with the Titans.
However, things may have changed, as News Corp has reported that the Titans have permitted Brimson to seek other options.
For the past year, Brimson has often been discussed as a potential departure from the Titans, with several Sydney clubs keeping an eye on his situation but unable to act.
Among those clubs was the Canterbury Bulldogs, yet they have since secured Connor Tracey as their fullback through the end of 2028.
