According to raiders.com.au, the Canberra Raiders NSW Cup team achieved a decisive victory against the Magpies in soggy conditions, while the Jersey Flegg squad suffered a narrow defeat to the Tigers last weekend.
The Raiders started strong with second rower Noah Martin scoring a hat-trick within the first 18 minutes, firmly establishing Canberra's dominance through a series of close-range tries.
By halftime, the Raiders had built a significant 24-point lead, bolstered by prop Pasami Saulo and second rower Joe Roddy's contributions.
In the second half, the Raiders maintained their momentum, shifting their attack to the backline. Winger Michael Asomua and centre Jensen Taumoepeau each scored two tries, before fullback Chevy Stewart capped off the match with a long-range effort in the 76th minute.
Halfback Adam Cook was also pivotal in the victory, successfully converting 8 out of 10 attempts, adding 16 points to the Raiders' total.
This victory marks the Canberra Raiders' third consecutive win, positioning them well in their pursuit of a place within the top eight. They are set to face the second-placed Dragons this weekend at Collegians Sporting Complex in Wollongong.
