In a disappointing turn of events for the Canberra Raiders, three of their players have been charged by the NRL Match Review committee following their loss to the Brisbane Broncos at GIO Stadium Canberra last night.

According to a report on the Raiders' official website, Corey Horsburgh has been charged with a grade one shoulder charge on Corey Jensen.

This is Horsburgh's third and subsequent offense, which means he is facing a three-match suspension if he pleads guilty early or a four-match suspension if he decides to fight the charge and loses.

Another player facing disciplinary action is Jordan Rapana, who has been charged with a grade one dangerous contact (tripping) on Selwyn Cobbo.

If Rapana chooses to take the early plea, he will receive a $3000 fine.

However, if he decides to contest the charge and ends up losing, he will be handed a two-match ban.

Lastly, Zac Woolford has been charged with a grade one crusher tackle.

If Woolford opts for the early guilty plea, he will be fined $3000.

On the other hand, if he decides to challenge the charge and is unsuccessful, he will receive a two-match ban.

These charges come as a blow to the Raiders, who are already dealing with the disappointment of their loss to the Broncos.

The team will now face the difficult decision of whether to accept the penalties or contest them in an effort to reduce the impact on their playing roster.

It is important for players to adhere to the rules and regulations of the game, as the NRL Match Review committee is responsible for maintaining the integrity and safety of the sport.

These charges serve as a reminder to all players about the consequences of actions that are deemed dangerous or against the spirit of the game.

As the Raiders reflect on their performance and prepare for their upcoming matches, they will also need to address the disciplinary issues within the team.

It will be crucial for the players to learn from these incidents and make the necessary adjustments to ensure that they adhere to the rules and regulations moving forward.

Ultimately, it is hoped that these charges will serve as a lesson for the players involved and act as a deterrent for any future misconduct.

The Raiders will need to regroup and refocus in order to move past these setbacks and continue their push for success in the NRL season.
