Titans leader Georgia Hale has been nominated for the 2023 Golden Boot after her exceptional performance as captain of the Kiwi Ferns in their recent victory over the Jillaroos.

The Kiwi Ferns, led by Hale, ended a seven-year drought with their impressive win, and her leadership on the field has earned her a well-deserved spot on the Golden Boot shortlist.

Hale, a proud New Zealander, showcased her skills and determination during the recent Pacific Championships Test series, playing in all three matches, including the standout 12-6 victory over Australia.

The Golden Boot is a highly esteemed award in International Rugby League, given to the best player in sanctioned rugby league international matches each year.

Although she has never won the award in her nine seasons of International Rugby League, Hale's outstanding performance has put her in contention for the prestigious title.

The women's IRL Golden Boot winner will be decided by a panel of esteemed rugby league personalities, including Australian Jillaroos great Karyn Murphy and former New Zealand dual code superstar Honey Hireme-Smiler.

With her leadership and skill on display, Hale has undoubtedly made a strong case for herself as a contender for the Golden Boot.
